Google Photos has a new interface when used through the Chatbooks app and website. This guide will show you how to navigate the updated interface.
For the Chatbooks App:
When adding photos to a new Monthbook, you can still select the Photo Source you'd prefer to use. If you do select "Google Photos," you'll receive a new prompt. The prompt will alert you of the new changes that include:
You can still add up to 60 photos in your book. Google photos may prompt you to add up to 2000 photos, but we will only be able to print up to 60 photos in this book.
Google photos will not keep track of previously selected photos. It may be easier to add the bulk of your photos in a single session and then determine which ones you want to print.
To continue to use Google Photos as your photo source, be sure you select "I understand."
You'll be redirected from the Chatbooks app to a web browser to connect with Google Photos.
Log in to your Google Photos account, and you'll be redirected to Google Photos.
Tap the photos you want to add to your Monthbook. Once selected, tap the blue 'Done' button in the upper right-hand corner. (Note: If you do select more than 60 photos, the extra photos will be in the excluded photos section. Also, videos automatically will not be uploaded.)
If you are not automatically redirected to the Chatbooks app, manually reopen it. Then, navigate back to your Monthbook to see your recently added Google Photos.
If you haven't added all 60 photos/pages and want to add more from Google Photos, tap the '+' sign in the bottom right-hand corner and select 'Google Photos' again.
How to use Google Photos on the Chatbooks website:
After logging in, navigate to the book you want to add photos to. Click the '+' sign in the upper left-hand corner, then select 'Add Photos.'
Click "Google photos":
Read the added prompts and click "I understand:"
You'll then be redirected to login to your Google Photos account- follow the prompts.
After logging in, Google Photos may suggest adding up to 2,000 photos. However, Chatbooks Monthbooks can only hold up to 60 pages. If you add more than 60 photos at once, they will not load into your Monthbook.
(Note: You may see the option to select videos on this page, but videos cannot be added to your Monthbook.)
Click all the photos you want to add to your Monthbook, then tap 'Done' in the upper right-hand corner.
Reopen the browser where you're logged into Chatbooks.com to review your photos and continue editing your book.
Looking for more than the 60 photos that are in the Preview? Check the left-hand side. There you can exclude and re-add photos to the book.
