What is Smart Select?
Smart Select is a subscriber-only feature that automatically picks your best photos in seconds, so you can get to your first draft faster. Instead of scrolling through your entire camera roll, Smart Select does the choosing for you.
Which books can I use Smart Select on?
Smart Select is currently available for Monthbooks, Monthly Minis, and Baby's First Year. It is not yet available for Series or Classic books.
How do I use Smart Select?
From the home screen, navigate to your subscriptions and tap the book you'd like to work on.
Tap the + icon to add photos.
Tap Try Smart Select.
Tap Selected in the upper right to view your photos — you'll see check marks on the photos Smart Select chose.
Make edits if you'd like:
To remove a photo, tap it to deselect (this removes the check mark).
To add a different photo, tap Selected in the upper right to deselect it — this will show all of your photos. From there, tap any photo to add it to your selection.
Tap Save changes once you're happy with your selections.
Tap Preview and print, and follow the prompts to send your book to print.
Why don't I see the Smart Select option?
A few things to check:
Make sure you're on the latest version of the Chatbooks app.
Smart Select is a subscriber feature — it's available for Monthbooks, Monthly Minis, and Baby's First Year only.
Can Smart Select choose photos of a specific person?
Not yet. Smart Select picks your best photos from the full month rather than filtering by person, but we're working on improving this in the future.
