Below you will find a how-to Video for both iOS and Android, and a step-by-step guide to learn how to create a Fam, how to invite members, and how to create a Room using the HeyFam Chatbooks' app:

To create a Fam on HeyFam, from the Home button of the HeyFam app, tap on the + symbol in the upper left-hand side of the window.

Tap to Edit the group name. Once a name is added, click “Create My Fam.”

When you create a new group, you will be prompted to invite members. You can  invite contacts through this prompt, or you can also do it by going to the “Essentials” tab of the app (found in the bottom menu on the right-hand side), and clicking into “Settings.” 

From there, tap “Invite to fam”. You can share the invite link or share the QR code provided there.

To create a Room, tap into the “Rooms” button found in the menu bar on the bottom of the screen. 

From there, tap “+ Create Room” and follow the prompts. There you can give the Room a Name, a description (optional) and select to make the Room private (optional).
