Everything you need to know about Subscription Credits

Updated this week

At Chatbooks, we offer two types of credits. The first type is our general credit, which is typically issued for returns, refunds, or as part of gift cards. Alongside this, we also provide Subscription Book credits. These credits are tailored to individual books within your Subscription. You can learn how to see how much general credit is on your account HERE. You can see how to find your Subscription credits HERE.

When your Subscription payment is processed, a corresponding credit will be generated for the specific book you're being charged for. This credit allows you to craft and print your Subscription Chatbook at your convenience anytime within the following 12 months.

  1. Why are my subscription credits expiring? Subscription credits have an expiration date to encourage regular usage and maintain service quality for all subscribers. We want you to print your photos to enjoy IRL!

  2. When will my credits expire? The expiration date for your credits is one year from the Subscription Book charge date.

  3. Can I extend the credit expiration date? Need more time? We get it! Once you are within 30 days of the expiration date, you will see an option in the app to extend the expiration date by 30 days.

    1. Does this apply to canceled subscriptions as well?

  4. How can I use my remaining credits? To use your remaining credits, simply watch this video HERE to see how to send your books to print.

  5. What happens if I don't use my credits before they expire? Unused credits will expire on the specified date. Once expired, these credits are no longer available to use in the app.

  7. How do I check my credit balance? You can easily check which books have associated credits by watching this video HERE

  8. Can I transfer my credits to someone else? Credits are non-transferable and can only be used within your own account.

  9. If I cancel my Subscription, can I still use my credit? You will have 90 days to use book credits and print your Chatbooks before the credits will expire. We encourage you to use all of your credit before canceling your Subscription.

  10. If I reactivate my Subscription, what happens to my expiring and/or expired credits? When you reactivate your Subscription, we will reactive expiring/expired book credits from the original book credit purchase date. This applies to credits whether they have already expired after the 90-day window or not.

  11. Why wasn't I notified before my credits expired? Our commitment is to deliver notifications promptly via email and in the Chatbooks mobile and web apps. However, some messages may land in your junk/spam folder. To ensure you stay informed, we suggest adding Chatbooks as a contact in your email and turning on notifications on your mobile device.
