Does adding the border to the Print edit the print at all or shrink the Print by the 1/4 inch? No, it does not.

You have the option to add a border to your Prints. If you select the white border option, rest assured that no part of your photo will be cropped.

Additionally, you'll be able to decide on a photo-by-photo basis whether or not to include the white border while editing your Print Set.
